CyberOffice Franchise & Shopping Mall Builder illustrates a general multiple vendor, multiple storefront, full management suite eCommerce system involving the following process:

  • A set of common products managed by a central administrator (the mall operator).
  • CyberMall goes one step further to ensure the quality of product listings in a shopping mall application. It allows the mall operator to prepare properly a standard catalog on some popular items, such as a printer with a known brand and model. All suppliers who sell the printer will basically sell the same item (albeit at different prices and stock quantities). Thus they can simply utilize the data prepared by the operator (as opposed to upload their own versions).
  • CyberMall provides you with a unique Reverse Auction push market Strategy: The common products can then be set on Auction for potential buyers to bid on them. The current and potential suppliers can browse the list of bids on any item. Any any stage a seller can opt to match / counter offer the bid and inform the top bidder the offer.

A straightforward application is an online franchise/shopping mall for computer parts, auto parts, or any parts industry. We have had numerous sites of this nature. Besides the wholesaler-distributor type of applications, the software can be a starting point for an online auction, business-to-business exchange portal, user-maintained online classifieds, and many others.

Implementation

System Information: Windows NT/2000/2003 Server, Internet Information Server (IIS) 4.0 or above, MS SQL Server 6.5, 7.0, 2000 or MS Access 97, 2000, 2002, 2007. Also support Sybase Adaptive Server, MySQL Server. Scalable across multiple servers (Web-farm readiness).

Here is a quick roadmap to implement CyberMall,

  1. Download the program and run the setup on your PC.
  2. Install Microsoft Personal Web Server (PWS) on your PC to test it (optional).
    Note that you must install PWS on your desktop computer in order to trial the software.
  3. Following the Shared Server Installation Guide to upload to your Web site.
  4. Add products to the site via Shop Manager -> Add/Remove Catalog Items -> Batch Options.

Program Support: CyberMall has been pre-configured to handle most normal wholesaler-distributor-like eCommerce functions. Normally, you won't need to alter the ASP codes. Occasionally, you might need to do some custom work (on both JavaScript and Active Server Pages).

The good news: our standard support covers making the default template to fit your business. Simply send us a sample set of your data. We will lay the foundation for you.  All you have to do is making cosmetic changes, which can be done via an online storefront wizard.
